Dorfgastein is part of an area that connects 80 kilometres of ski slopes. The lift connection between the Fulseck (2033m) and the Kreuzkogel (2027m) connects the slopes of Dorfgastein and Grossarl, out of which a versatile skiing area has come into being. The slopes are mostly ‘red’, but never too steep or difficult to descend.
The longest slope, at almost 8 kilometres runs from the Fulseck back to Dorfgastein. There’s plenty for freestylers to experience too. There is the snow park at Sonnenbahn mountain station. This area is also very popular with cross-country skiers due to a number of beautiful cross-country trails that run through the Grossarltal.
Snowshoe hikers can enjoy a wonderful scenic route from the Fulseck over untouched snow to the Reiterhütte.
